Pre Primary- Shape Parade

In this activity, a collection of everyday objects such as a ball (sphere), box (cuboid), box (cube), birthday cap (cone), lid (circle), sheet (rectangle) and vase (cylinder) were placed in front of the students. Learners observed each object carefully and decided whether it belonged to the 2D shape family (flat shapes like circle, rectangle, square ) or the 3D shape family (solid shapes like sphere, cube, cone, cuboid). Learners then named the correct shape of each object and discussed how 2D shapes were flat while 3D shapes were solid and could be touched from all sides.
